| Description: | There is mounting evidence showing that early detection of many biological and psychosocial factors, coupled with appropriate interventions during the critical first years of life, can improve the outcomes for all children and especially those with vulnerabilities (McCain, M. & Mustard, J. 1999). This CME case study will provide information about the primary care role in Proactive Developmental Surveillance with a strategy provided for use during the 18 month well child visit. |
