The Canadian Paediatric Society has developed a number of online education programs for family physicians, paediatricians, residents, and others who care for children and youth. Programs reflect the latest knowledge and best evidence about pressing issues affecting Canada’s young people.

In early childhood the brain is developing key circuits and capacity for abilities such as self-regulation, relationship building and executive function. These form the foundation for all development, both for the individual children and even society as a whole while also effecting lifelong health and wellness. Toxic stress, adversity, and a lack of responsive relationships damage the brain and have lifelong effects. That is, healthy development builds a strong foundation for kids and society.
